Mr Crawfurd is registered with all the major healthcare insurance companies. Unless the procedure is particularly complex, then all operations are within the fees guidelines. It is important to bring all the necessary information to your consultation, including your insurance company, your policy number, an authorisation number and a claim form if necessary. This will ensure the authorisation and billing process runs smoothly.
Patients are responsible for paying any shortfalls, which may include extras such as injections at the time of consultation. X-rays and MRI scans are billed separately by the departments involved and are not part of Mr Crawfurd’s fee.
Self-funding patients are required to pay at the time of their consultations, either by cheque, cash or BACs. Details can be provided on request. For patients self-funding their operations, there is a package price offered by the BMI hospital, which includes the surgeon’s operation fees and one post-op consultation. However, this does not cover the initial consultation or subsequent follow-up consultations after the first post-op visit.
Any outstanding accounts will incur administration charges if the debt has to be collected professionally.
